Rapid Prototyping
- A working prototype can help you make important sales connections early in the process.

- Using our LPKF Circuit Board Prototyping machine we can check concepts, as well as build test and production jigs, quickly.
Embedded microcontroller applications design
- Most of our designs involve embedded microcontrollers. There are 2 main parts to our design process:
- Hardware design
- Embedded software design
- We help you select the appropriate and most efficient system configuration for your design project, using a combination of digital and mixed signal oscilloscopes, in-circuit emulators and professional programmers, as well as NC prototyping machines.
Programmable System on Chip (PSoC™) Design
- The appearance of programmable system-on-chip technologies have given way to new possibilities and improved IP protection for embedded systems.
- Where appropriate, we use PSoC™ devices that are configurable mixed-signal arrays with microcontroller and embedded peripherals. PSoC™ devices are dynamically reconfigurable. This allows on-the-fly changes in system function. It also allows greater system utilization than conventional microcontroller-based designs.
- Improved IP protection can be achieved by hiding key parts of schematics inside the chip, keeping your concepts and proprietary ideas safe from unauthorized intrusion.
- We have substantial experience in designing with PSoC™ microcontrollers, produced by Cypress Semiconductor Corporation.
- FLC Microdesign is the only certified consultant for PSoC™ in Australia.
PC Software Design
We have experience in a variety of PC software design. Some of these include:
- database programming
- 3D design
- high level maths
- USB and other complex applications
- We have developed a range of proprietary software and hardware tools for in-production PC-based testing, using Java, C++ and Visual Basic programming suites.
PSTN, RF and powerline communication design
We offer a range of design solutions in communication devices, including:
- powerline communication devices;
- devices that work over Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN);
- RF communication devices that operate at frequencies between 315 to 1000 MHz;
- frequency synthesizer controllers configurable by PC; and
- industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band communication devices.
Echelon Neuron Network Design
- We offer a range of network design solutions based on Echelon Neuron Chip. Where appropriate our solutions can utilize PIC microcontrollers, significantly increasing performance and capabilities of the whole network.
