Position: Senior Electronic Design Engineer

We are a Melbourne based company that specializes in intelligent lighting systems and embedded microprocessor based devices for commercial applications. Due to continued growth and an increase in demand, we require a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join our team.

As a member of our innovative research and development team, you will be responsible for the design of customised electronic solutions.

In this varied role, you will be work with the following:

Microcontrollers & Microprocessors
Analogue & Digital Electronics
Power Electronics
Intelligent displays
Infra-red and RF sensors, transmitters & receivers
Multipurpose controllers
Embedded Software Design using C and Assembly languages
PCB Design using Altium Designer 6 software

As a talented R&D Electronics Engineer you will have notable years of hands-on experience in an electronics-based development role.

A degree qualification in Electronic Engineering is required to be successful in your application.

A knowledge and experience working with the following microcontroller families as well as development tools and compilers is essential: MICROCHIP, CYPRESS (PSoC™), ATMEL, HI-TECH C.

Knowledge and experience with ALTIUM software (including PROTEL 98, 99SE).

The successful applicant will also show evidence of having excellent communication skills, strong documentation skills and a high level of motivation.

Position: Electronic Production Support Engineeer

FLC Microdesign is an electronic contract manufacturing company based in Oakleigh (Melbourne). Due to continued growth and an increase in demand, we require an Electronics Production Support Engineer to join our team.

This extremely diverse role will present multiple challenges and provide an excellent opportunity to be involved with all production processes associated with electronic assembly and testing.

Duties will include:

Programming pick and place machinery
Documentation
Protel, industry compliance and BOMs
Communicating with suppliers

In order to perform these duties, you will have:

Minimum 2 years practical electronics experience or a degree in electronics
Experience programming pick and place machinery
